I love to Pack! Oh yes, I do.
I don't mean "arranging things" in a suitcase - I just push them in. I mean the whole idea of "what to take on a journey" when I say packing.
The single motive behind my joy of packing is the fear of "leaving things behind when I might need them". Like, one never knows when feels a terrible need for popcorn! (Thats a bad example, but you know what I mean. I mean all those philosophical things that you're coming up with - everyone of them).
When you have no space in the luggage and see that one book that you might want to finish up on the journey, I think you should take it. Why not? So, it means a +200 grams to your luggage, but its a +50 points to the feeling that you have a book, if you feel like reading!
If it were possible to put a lot of ideas and thoughts, emotions into my luggage - I would. If it were possible to make still images of time, I'd take it. If it were possible to put all my 24 years of life, worth living - and everything I'd learnt in that span of time - I'd choose to put it in two suitcases and take them with me. Its a pity that there are somethings which arent tangible. For everything else, there's always some more space in the world and extra luggage allowances.
