One foot up, One foot down

I remember this rhyme taught to me in school. We'd sing it with "actions" in our music hall, with Joan ma'am at the piano.

"I'm a bow-legged chicken, I'm a knock-kneed hen
Never been so happy since I don't know when"

Towards the end of the rhyme, there would be the line "One foot up and one foot down - and thats the way to Bangalore town" (I dont know if this was a part of the original rhyme or we just made this part up) - but somehow as I leave to London today (yes, I have time to sit and write), im oddly reminded of it.

While im excited, thrilled to bits on one end - my soul's inertia seems to tug at the other. Im just where every journey begins - the first step up, the first step down.
