My amma -coolest!

Oh my mom has picked up her type-writing skills once again. She types faster than the wind on chats, but its such a shock to me - cause two months ago, my mom would search for the keys and be so uncomfortable with the computer.

Today,she facebooks, gtalks and skypes. And that makes me so proud. I think my mom is the coolest cause she has a life of her own - and a jest for trying all things new. Being traditionally south Indian, my mom tried her first pair of jeans last summer (what a mental break through for her) - and just cause Divya and I told her "COME ON, MA. be a sport!". She came with us to the oval bar (okay, she has this mental image of bars like in telugu movies - expecting silk smitha to pop out from behind smoky screens). She tries everything once! She happily drank up the wine I got from Goa (though according to her, it must have been - whoa!)

As I sit in london today and find my mom on my gtalk, im more than pleasantly suprised. Im SHOCKED.

Here's an excerpt of our conversation today (well, we speak fluent kannada, tamil, english and a spattering of some vizag telugu). SO i'll put in a translation for the uninitiated. Its a very cute conversation, if you ask me. Read through, if you have patience :)

me: im on blackboard
so i put on music

(tr: I dont understand that)

me: divya va
(tr: is it Divya on the chat?)

AMMA: oh

(no, its me - sudha rani)
