A "relative" (a)musing

It is incredible how little things are indicative of much larger things. A simple question of “what is a relationship to you?” thrown at me, sparked off a train of thought. Thought, in itself, is fluid. It just occurs to you. You know, the train of thought – its a chain. Its like little match boxes you place next to each other, making a line. They occur in quick succession – all linked up to a central theme. Like music in a weird slow-motion-pause. Oh and women have a shrill pitch. And think.
Human beings are emotional. More often than not, human beings are egoistic than emotional and tend to confuse the two. We feel better with a pat on the back We'd always “rather be friends” than be nobodys to eachother. Cause a “friend” feels like a warmer term. We are the persian cats, that need constant petting and warm milk. We always have to define everything, label it, get the rankings, go through an appraisal and then win accolades.Of course, mewing helps keep the process, how-do-I-put-it, “Entertaining”.
Like every persian cat, every relationship is unique. Every single relationship in existence has a fibre of its own. Its original genetic material. Its how people relate to one another.
Every relationship flows – like thoughts, like weird paused music, like little match boxes placed next to each other, making a line. It can be remodeled, re-arranged, put in a bottle and shaken. Two people can declare to be friends based on any factor they want to pick, if they even do. What I am saying is, in any kind of co-alition, the unwritten laws are what the people pick for themselves. You and I could watch the sunset everyday and call it friendship. Or anything else that we want to. (I once used to walk with a person, while she walked her dog. I'd call this "scooby-doo")
A relationship is what I am to you. And what you are to me. In our own way. We place these little boxes, we join those little dots to make a line, we put all those notes in weird paused music and continue to add more as we learn, more about ourselves, more about the world and where we stand in it.
Someday, when we all look back, we'll see a song – that we orchestrated. Flowing effortlessly. That's a relationship. We could even roll it and smoke it.
Its a thought.
