Its been a while since I blogged. Well, I had completely forgotten that I had one.
I was busy reading Kalki (Big fan, now). Partiban kanavu is an amazing story - taking the reader into Uraiyur, the ancient Chola capital as the story unfolds, slowly. The unhurried pace of the book is so refreshing. Its like taking a leisurely walk by the banks of the Cauvery, while watching a war at the other bank. For those of you who have not read it, let me tell you - its about Partiban (Chola king)'s dream, to be the king of an independent kingdom.
I cannot, for the life of me, believe that Partiban is fictitious. No way.
Kalki is a genius story teller. I am glad and feel extremely honoured to have read a work of art. (I should ideally say 'reading..'). I hope to also read the other books, after finishing this one to the end.
